Eating pitahaya in our daily diet helps us improve our eyesight, due to its high vitamin A content, which helps maintain soft tissues.
The fruit has a shape between oval and elongated, weighs from 250 to 350gr, measures between 8 and 13cm long. The exotic-looking shell has thick scales. It is green in color but turns yellow when ripe. Its pulp is white with multiple tiny edible black seeds, its flavor is mildly sweet and it is quite juicy.
